Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – Every member of the Davis & Elkins men's basketball team found his way into the scoring column, led by senior Shauib Kamara's 24 point effort in a 102-55 win over Virginia-Lynchburg.
Kamara made 11-of-14 shots from the field and dished out five assists. Kevin Bracy-Davis (21), Aleksandar Vasiljevic (11) and Wesley Sprinkle (10) also scored in double figures for D&E.
DeShawn Chinn led the Dragons with 14 points.
Davis & Elkins out-rebounded VUL 45-14, including 16 offensive rebounds which translated into 16 second chance points. D&E shot 68 percent (44-of-65) from the field.
Lynchburg scored the opening basket, only to see the Senators register the next 15 points to take a 15-2 lead. The Dragons battled back to within seven at 26-19, but would go to the locker room trailing 40-27.
D&E dominated on the glass in the opening 20 minutes, pulling down 24 of the 30 rebounds. The Senators made 16-of-28 (57 percent) attempts from the field before halftime, and sank 7-of-9 shots at the free throw line.
The Senators scored 16 of the first 17 points in the second half, coasting to the 102-55 victory.
D&E travels to Shepherd on December 17.
