Box Score ASHLAND, W.Va. – Hillsdale used 52 bench points to down Davis & Elkins, 85-63 on Saturday.
Sharmaine Baker registered 24 points for D&E.
Allie Dittner led the Chargers with 16 points off the bench. Megan Fogt notched a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Kadie Lowery tallied 11 points.
HC held a 52-30 advantage on the glass, including 19 offensive rebounds, which turned into 22 second chance points. D&E struggled at the free throw line, making only 20-of-32 (63 percent) attempts.
The Chargers took control in the first half with a 9-0 run, going on top 21-14. A 14-6 jolt by HC expanded the lead to 39-25. Hillsdale held a 41-31 advantage at the half.
D&E remained within striking distance until a 25-6 blitz by the Chargers put the game out of reach, as HC collected the 85-63 win.
The Senators return from Christmas break on January 3 at Salem International.
