Sharmaine Baker led the Senators with seven points. Tajee Pledger pulled down eight rebounds.
Taylor paced the Eagles with 19 points. Laina Snyder (16), McKenzie Miller (13) and Julie Worley (11) each added double figures off the bench.
The AU bench outscored D&E's bench, 50-10 and connected of 18-of-30 shots (60 percent) from the field. D&E made only 9-of-17 (53 percent) of its attempts and the free throw line, while the Eagles converted of 16-of-19 (84 percent) of their opportunities. The Eagles sank 10-of-16 shots from beyond the arc. Ashland translated 26 Senator turnovers into 32 points.
Davis & Elkins went on top 9-6 early, but Ashland answered with a 17-3 blitz to pull ahead, 23-12. AU closed the half on a 15-0 run, taking a commanding 43-20 lead into the locker room.
The Senators offense remained cold in the second half, falling 86-36.
D&E will look to bounce back on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Hillsdale.
