Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. –Davis & Elkins closed out November with a 69-59 victory over NAIA foe, Bluefield.
Wesley Sprinkle led D&E with 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Aleksandar Vasiljevic (13 points, 13 rebounds) and Rashad Parker (10 points, 10 rebounds) each posted double-doubles for the Senators. Kevin Bracy-Davis finished with 12 points.
Devin Page (14), Ederson Exume (13) and Zeke Williams (10) reached double-figures for BC.
Davis & Elkins shot 57 percent from the floor (27-of-47)—including 9-of-16 from three-point range—while limiting Bluefield to 38 percent (22-of-58). D&E held a 39-23 advantage on the glass, pulling down eight offensive rebounds and turning them into 16 second chance points. The Senators' bench outscored BC's bench 31-13. Bluefield translated 18 D&E turnovers into 18 points.
Vasiljevic registered five of the game's first 15 points, propelling D&E to a 10-5 lead. A pair of Sprinkle threes sparked an 8-1 run by the Senators, giving D&E its largest lead of the half at 24-16. D&E held a 35-28 lead at the break.
The Rams opened the second half with a 13-4 surge to go in front 40-39. The lead went back-and-forth over the next eight possessions before Sprinkle buried a three to ignite a 14-2 surge by the Senators and set up the 69-59 win.
D&E travels to Bluefield State on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
