ELKINS, W.Va. – Sharmaine Baker poured in a game-high 36 points but it was enough as Davis & Elkins fell to Bluefield State, 78-70 on Friday evening.

Baker sank 21-of-26 free throws and made 7-of-12 field goals on the night. Freshman Carley O'Neal finished with nine points. Mary Jane Braham ripped down a team-best eight rebounds. Stephanie Wooten handed out six assists.

Shakima Wiggins paced the Blues with 32 points. Taisa Nolan notched a double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds). Tenika Jackson added 11 points.

Bluefield State outrebounded D&E, 50-42. The Blues scored 26 points on the fast break.
