Box Score ERIE, Pa. – The Davis & Elkins men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 4-1 victory over Gannon on Wednesday.
GU's Robbie Bennett scored the game's first goal in the 22nd minute. James Pucci notched the equalizer with less than five minutes to play in the first half. Simon Hestad broke the tie just 37 seconds into the second half. Fredrik Hedemark gave the Senators a two goal cushion three minutes later. Hestad's second goal of the day came with under four minutes to play to conclude the scoring.
Daniel Nock made three saves in the game.
Davis & Elkins held an 18-12 advantage in shots, putting nine shots on goal to four for the Golden Knights.
Davis & Elkins travels to Cedarville on November 6 for the G-MAC semi-finals.
