"I am really proud of our small but mighty women's team.  They really worked together today to get this win, and every member of the team contributed to the win today," Coach Nicole Rose said. 

Brooke Bielecki finished first in the 50 and 100 free, along with the 100 backstroke. Kenya Paiz out-touched the opposition in the 500 and 1000 free, plus the 200 individual medley. Kendal Williams (200 breaststroke), Chelsea Faris (200 freestyle) and Autumn Wunderlich (200 back) each registered one victory.  

"The men's squad—we had some great swims, we had some average swims, and we had some races that we wish had turned out differently," Rose added. 

Ty Montemoino won both the 50 and 100 freestyle, while Nick Hiatt took first in the 100 backstroke. Austin Pillado claimed the top spot in the 500 freestyle.

"We get back in the pool first thing Monday morning while the sting is still there.  We have an opportunity to focus our training and to use this experience as a way to get better as a team and as individuals," Rose concluded.

D&E opens its home schedule next Saturday against Urbana.
