OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky Wesleyan edged Davis & Elkins, 3-2 (25-18, 17-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-9) on Friday evening.

Alexis Mourier led the D&E attack with 14 kills. Haylee Murray notched 22 assists, while Jessie Kerns added 11. Michaela Touchet finished the evening with 13 digs.

The Senators fell behind 2-1, but managed to close the fourth set with a 7-2 surge to force the deciding set.  KWC closed the match on a 10-4 blitz to take the 3-2 victory.

Davis & Elkins travels to Trevecca on Saturday.
