Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Six Panthers reached double figures to lead Kentucky Wesleyan to a 98-75 victory over Davis & Elkins.
Devin Miller poured in a game-high 24 points for D&E (21 in the first half), while Juwan Strothers chipped in with 13 points.
Dominique Dawson (15), Lonnie Hays (14), Ken-Jah Bosley (13), Lucas Barker (13), Devin Langford (12) and Donovan Johnson (11) all posted double figures for Kentucky Wesleyan.
The Senators shot a season-best 62 percent from the field—but managed only 42 attempts, compared to 56 for KWC. Kentucky Wesleyan held a decisive 29-21 advantage on the glass, limiting D&E to just a pair of offensive rebounds. The Panthers scored 26 points off of turnovers and outscored the D&E bench 40-20.
Kentucky Wesleyan took an early 12-6 lead, seven of the 12 points came at the free throw line. D&E battled back to make the score 18-15, Miller scored the first seven points for D&E. KWC forced six turnovers and went on a 9-0 jolt over the next five plus minutes, extending their advantage to 27-15. The Panthers held a 48-35 lead at the break.
KWC scored 10 of the first 15 points in the second half to increase the margin to 58-40. Bosley drained back-to-back threes to ignite an 11-2 sprint that sealed the 98-75 win.
D&E faces Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday at 5 p.m. EST.
