Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins rolled to a 103-67 victory over Salem on Saturday afternoon.
Stephanie Wooten (16), Hannah Carl (15), Jorden Lykes (14), Shanda Howell (13), Sharmaine Baker (13) and Ashley Bowles (10) reached double figures for D&E.
SIU's Porcha Davis scored a game-high 29 points. Inkera Patterson (14) and Tashay Smith (12) also posted double digits for the Tigers.
D&E held a decisive 65-41 advantage on the glass, including 30 offensive rebounds which translated into 36 second chance points. The Senators converted 24 SIU turnovers into 37 points.
Davis & Elkins opened the game with a 21-10 surge, sparked by a three from Ashley Magallanez. D&E took a 44-29 advantage into halftime.
Back-to-back threes from Carl, followed by a three from Tajee Pledger, expanded the Senator lead to 54-31 early in the second half. D&E never looked back on its way to the 103-67 win.
The Senators face league-leader Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. EST.
