PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Alderson Broaddus scored 12 of the first 14 points in the second half, and held on late, for a 66-61 win over Davis & Elkins.

Devin Miller and Kevin Bracy-Davis each posted 13 points on the night, while Aleks Vasiljevic added 10 points.

Richard Lemon (17) and Malcolm Tatum (14) reached double digits for AB. Adam Kline pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.

Alderson Broadus held a 40-28 advantage on the glass.

Vasiljevic notched a traditional three-point play, sparking a 13-6 run by D&E to open the game. AB battled back to knot the game at 13-13 and held a 29-28 advantage headed to the locker room.

Devin Colston and Tatum each hit threes to ignite a 12-2 blitz by AB to open the second stanza. Back-to-back threes from Miller pulled D&E within two at 47-45 at the midway point of the half. AB's lead grew back to seven, but Davis & Elkins battled until Thylas Perkins put the nail in the Senator coffin with a three that made the score 61-55 with one minute left. Alderson Broaddus converted 5-of-6 free throws in the final minute to seal the 66-61 win.

D&E returns home to face West Virginia Tech on Saturday at 4 p.m.
