PHILIPPI, W.Va.—Jorden Lykes scored 24 points to propel Davis & Elkins to a decisive 80-53 victory over rival Alderson Broaddus on Tuesday evening.

Lykes was perfect from the field (7-of-7) and 10-of-13 from the free throw line. Stephanie Wooten added 15 points, while Sharmaine Baker chipped in with 11 points.

Sydney Shaffer (12) and Rachel Ashley (10) reached double figures for the Battlers.

D&E shot a season-best 50 percent from the field (25-of-50), including 7-of-16 from three. The Senators held a 39-30 advantage on the glass.

Wooten buried a trio of treys to open up a 36-9 lead in the first half. The Senators held a 48-30 lead at the break.

The Davis & Elkins advantage grew to as many as 30 in the second half on their way to the 80-53 win.

The Senators travel to Edinboro on Thursday evening for a 7 p.m. tip.
