WILBERFORCE, Ohio- CSU held off Davis & Elkins, 78-70 on Saturday night.
Devin Miller led the way for the Senators with 21 points and a team-best eight rebounds. Aleksandar Vasiljevic (11) and Juwan Strothers (10) also threw down double digits for D&E.
Anthony Adams Rule (22), Masceo Harmon (19) and Tre Edwards (13) all hit double figures for the Marauders.
Central State's starters outscored the D&E starters 68-59. CSU registered 35 points off of 33 Senators turnovers.
The Senators went on an 11-3 run to take a 22-11 lead midway through the first half, capped by a second chance bucket by Vasiljevic. D&E increased its advantage and took their largest lead of the game, 35-20, with five minutes to go in the half. The Senators took a 40-30 lead into the locker room.
Davis & Elkins held a 61-51 advantage with nine minutes to play in regulation. Seven turnovers allowed the Marauders to tie the game 63-63 at the end of the regular time.
CSU scored the first 10 points in the extra session to seal the 78-70 victory.
Davis & Elkins will return home on Tuesday against Bluefield State after a four game road trip. Tip time is 7 p.m.
