SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The D&E women's soccer team dropped its' season-opener on Thursday at Shepherd by a score of 1-0.

Shepherd's Courtney Baltizar broke the 0-0 deadlock with a goal just two minutes into the second half.

The Rams held a 15-12 advantage in shots, including an 8-3 margin in shots on goal.  

Ashley Winkelspecht made six saves in net for the Senators.

The Senators will look to get into the win column on Friday when they host Lake Erie at 4 p.m.
