ELKINS, W.Va. – James Pucci found the back of the net four times to lead Davis & Elkins to a 7-0 victory in their GMAC season-opener against Ohio Valley on Thursday.

Pucci scored in the 15th minute and registered his second mark of the game just six minutes later to put D&E on top 2-0. Benjamin Pastur posted the final goal of the first half to make the score 3-0.

Pucci netted the first two goals of the second half to extend the lead to 5-0, before an own goal by the Scots pushed the lead to 6-0. Grant Braun scored the game's final goal to set the 7-0 margin.

Cameron Rivera finished with one save to earn the shutout.

The Senators blistered 27 shots, 19 of which were on goal, while limiting OVU to just five shots.

D&E travels to California (Pa.) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
