ELKINS, WV -The Davis & Elkins softball team swept Southern Virginia University in non-conference doubleheader action on Monday.  The Senators recorded a 4-3 win and added a 9-1 triumph in the nightcap.

GAME ONE

Alanna Jones earned the win on the mound and finished with eight strikeouts.  Jenifer Kennon fueled the offense as she went 2-for-3 with a home run and Samantha Crabtree also finished 2-for-3. 

Cariss Dun finished 1-for-1, while Mallory Wishard was 1-for-3 and Kayla Whoolery recorded a 1-for-4 performance at the plate.

GAME TWO

The Senators cruised to a 9-1 victory in the second game as Amber LaBille struck out seven to earn the win.

Crabtree went 2-for-2 in the nightcap and Chelsie Stover was 1-for-2.

Corrine Carrington and Kayla Whoolery each finished 2-for-4, while Mallory Wishard finished 2-for-3.

The Senators improve to 12-11 on the season and host Concord on Wednesday.
