CHARLESTON, WV -The Davis & Elkins softball team fell twice to the University of Charleston on Saturday in WVIAC action. The Senators fell 3-1 and 4-3.
GAME ONE
The Senators dropped the first game of the day 3-1 as Alanna Jones suffered the loss on the mound. Jones struck out three in six innings of work.
Kayla Whoolery paced the offense as she went 2-for-3, while Chelsie Stover was 1-for-2 with a double. Samantha Crabtree went 1-for-3 and Katelyn Norton picked up the lone RBI.
Jenifer Kennon also added a double and scored the lone run.
GAME TWO
D&E dropped the nightcap 4-3 as Amber LaBille took the loss on the mound. LaBille allowed seven hits and struck out one in six innings of work.
Jenifer Kennon and Samantha Crabtree led the offense with two hits each.
