ELKINS, WV - The Davis & Elkins women's basketball team defeated Shepherd 74-56 on Monday evening.
Senior Page Turner led four people in double figures with 13 points, eight assists, and four rebounds.
Junior Alicia Lentz and sophomore Maquasia Ferebee scored 12 points each while Jorden Lykes added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Lentz blocked four shot and Lykes recorded four steals for D&E.
Ashley Bowles (8 points) and Sharmaine Baker (8 points, 7 rebounds) were solid off the D&E bench.
Alex Tamez and Rachel Johnson led the Rams with 11 points each.
The Rams shot 33.9 percent (20-59) from the floor, 23.1 percent (3-13) from three-point range, and 61.9 percent (13-21) from the line.
The Senators hit at 52 percent (26-50) from the floor, 47.1 percent (8-17) from beyond the arc, and 87.5 percent (14-16) from the charity stripe.
D&E had a 45-25 advantage on the boards.
The Senators welcome No. 20 Glenville State to The McDonnell Center for a key WVIAC contest on Thursday.
