Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins women's soccer team posted a 2-1 win over rival Alderson Broaddus on Thursday to earn a spot in the G-MAC Championship game.
Alison Bogar scored the game's opening goal in the 25th minute and Ashley Muscat pushed the lead to 2-0 just 37 seconds later. The Battlers' Brooke Hunsaker scored on a penalty kick two minutes into the second half; neither team could find the back of the net again, as D&E held on for the 2-1 win.
Ashley Winkelspecht made a pair of saves to register the win.
The Senators will face the Ursuline/Cedarville winner in Saturday's championship game. Kick-off is slated for noon.
