WINTER PARK, Fla. – New Haven limited Davis & Elkins to only 15 points in the second half en route to a 70-43 victory on Friday afternoon.

Sharmaine Baker notched a team-high 11 points. MaQuasia Ferbee ripped down 10 rebounds.

Bria Moore scored 12 points to lead the Chargers. Aquillin Hayes added a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

D&E managed to shoot just 22 percent (17-of-77), including making only 1-of-24 attempts from beyond the arc. NHU held a 57-53 advantage on the glass.

The Senators built a 17-6 lead by pulling down 17 of the game's first 23 rebounds. NHU pulled even at 21-21 with a 15-4 jolt behind seven points from Hayes. The Chargers closed the half on an 8-1 run to take a 31-28 lead into the locker room.

New Haven opened the second half with a 17-2 surge that put the game out of reach and propelled the Chargers to the 70-43 win.

Davis & Elkins faces Stillman in the Rollins Thanksgiving Classic consolation game at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
