Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. -- The Davis & Elkins men's soccer team claimed the top spot, and hosting rights for the G-MAC Tournament, with a 2-1 victory over Salem International.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Vukasin Terzic in the 23rd minute. Bastien Catrin netted the equalizer in the 37th minute with a well-placed header, knotting the game at 1-1 by the close of the first half. James Pucci knocked in the game-winner in the 58th minute to seal the 2-1 win for D&E.
Cameron Rivera made seven saves to earn his 10th victory of the season.
Davis & Elkins held a slim 11-9 advantage in shots, with each team placing seven on goal.
The G-MAC tournament begins on Thursday. The Senators will face Salem International, times have not been finalized.
