Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins men's soccer team notched a 2-1 win over #14 Mercyhurst on Wednesday at Nuttall Field.
James Pucci registered the game's opening marker just under seven minutes into the contest. Mason Carte found the back of the net in the 35th minute to extend the advantage to 2-0 at the half.
The Lakers' Danny Deakin cut the lead to one with a goal in the 58th minute, but the Senators were able to hold on for the 2-1 victory.
Cameron Rivera made nine saves to earn the victory.
The Senators host Salem International on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in a game that will determine who hosts the G-MAC tournament.
