Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – The D&E women's soccer team improved to 3-0 in the G-MAC with a 2-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday afternoon.
The teams were deadlocked at 0-0 after 45 minutes. Laia Margenat Dordas tallied the game's first marker in the 67th minute to put D&E on top, 1-0. KWC's Penni Pluimer scored the equalizer in the 76th minute. Taylor Norton was able to net the game-winner in the 82nd minute to seal the 2-1 victory.
D&E held a 15-12 advantage in shots, but the Panthers put eight shots on goal to five for D&E.
Ashley Winkelspecht recorded six saves to earn the win.
D&E continues G-MAC play on Saturday when they host Trevecca Nazarene.
