Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Cedarville claimed a 7-1 decision over Davis & Elkins on Thursday in a showdown between the league's top two teams.
The Yellow Jackets posted four goals in the game's opening 14 minutes to take a 4-0 lead. Alison Bogar cut the lead to 4-1 with a goal in the 15th minute, only to see CU tack on three more goals to seal the 7-1 victory.
Grace Miorelli and Jacoby Ziegler each registered hat tricks for the Yellow Jackets, while Elise Hurley scored one goal.
Cedarville outshot D&E 20-11, with 13 shots on goal to just five for the Senators.
Ashley Winkelspecht finished with five saves in the game.
Davis & Elkins travels to Ursuline on Saturday at 1 p.m.
