ELKINS, WV - The Davis & Elkins women's soccer team defeated Ohio Valley University 1-0 Wednesday afternoon in WVIAC action.

Sarah Fyock scored the lone goal for the Senators at the 31:01 mark.  Victoria Gustitis blasted a shot on goal that Brianna Rice blocked for Ohio Valley, Fyock controlled the rebound and placed two shots on goal and scored off the second shot.

The Senators held a 24-3 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

Ashley Winkelspecht earned her seventh shutout of the season as she finished with two saves.  Rice recorded four saves for OVU.

D&E improves to 8-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the WVIAC, while OVU falls to 1-8, 0-3.
