CEDARVILLE, OH - The Davis & Elkins women's soccer team defeated Cedarville 1-0 Friday evening to open their season.

The Senators scored the only goal of the game in the 57th minute when Taylor Morton used an Alison Bogar pass to beat Cedarville keeper Alysia Bennett.

D&E outshot the Yellow Jackets 12-6 overall and 4-2 in shots on goal.  Ashley Winkelspecht recorded two saves for the Senators.

The Senators (1-0) will face Urbana University at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
