ELKINS, WV - The Davis & Elkins women's soccer team defeated Point Park 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon to improve to 7-0.
Taylor Morton put D&E on the board at the 56:43 mark when she scored off a feed from Victoria Gustitis.
Point Park scored at the 84:35 mark when Megan Kuntz used a feed from Kristina Stammer to even the match at one.
The Senators were very aggressive after the Pioneers scored and placed several shots on goal before Sarah Fyock drilled the ball in the upper-left corner for the game-winner at the 85:30 mark.
Erica Roney played very well for the Pioneers in the goal and finished with seven saves. Ashley Winkelspecht had another solid effort in goal for D&E and she recorded four saves.
The Senators held a 23-13 shot advantage, with nine shots being on goal. D&E also held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
D&E improves to 7-0 overall, while Point Park drops to 4-2. The Senators travel to Shepherdstown on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match with the Rams.
