PHILIPPI, WV - The Davis & Elkins women's soccer team defeated West Virginia Tech 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Taylor Morton put D&E ahead early as she scored three minutes into the game off an assist from Alison Bogar.
Twenty minutes later Kayla Petrella pushed up from her defensive spot to score off an corner kick by Emma Davis.
D&E led 2-0 at halftime as they had outshot the Golden Bears 13-4.
Junior Alison Bogar took a feed from Maggie Fry and beat keeper Sydney Schaeffer to conclude the scoring for the Senators.
Ashley Winkelspecht finishec with six saves for D&E and Schaeffer collected three for Tech.
D&E improves to 5-0 on the season and West Virginia tech falls to 2-5.
