HEARTBREAK FOR D&E MEN

ELKINS, WV - Chris Giles converted a  jumper that floated over the top of the backboard with 1.4 seconds remaining Saturday afternoon to lead the Griffins past the Senators 77-75 in WVIAC men's basketball action.

The Senators had one last opportunity before the end of regulaton but could not convert

After Giles converted his shot there was some discussion among the officials as to whether the basket should be allowed and after meeting the basket was allowed and 1.4 was placed back on the clock.

Senior forward Malik Tinsley led the Senators with 24 points and eight rebounds.  Tinsley was 10-of-19 from the floor.

Senior guard Ian Pinckney added 20 points and three rebounds.  Junior guard D'Quan Lynch added 12 points and five rebounds.

Senior guard PJ Turner finished with a game-high eight assists.

Matt Miller led Seton Hill with 18 points and Lenjo Kilo finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

Chris Giles added 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

D&E falls to 6-15 overall and 3-15 in the WVIAC and will travel to Fairmont on Monday night for a WVIAC contest with the Falcons.
