CALIFORNIA, PA -The Davis & Elkins women's basketball team droppd a 60-55 decision to California (PA) Sunday afternoon in their last game of 2012.

Ryah Gadson scored 14 points to pace the Vulcans (7-2) and Emma Mahady added 11.

Jorden Lykes scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Senators (4-5).  Alicia Lentz (12) and Sharmaine Baker (10) also reached double figures.

The Senators held the Vulcans to 31.9 percent (22-69) from the field and also held a 38-30 rebounding edge, but 31 turnovers were too much to overcome on the road.

Maquasia Ferebee had a game-high eight rebounds and Page Turner finished with a game-high seven assists.

The Senators will welcome West Liberty University to The McDonnell Center on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
