Elkins, WV – Davis & Elkins College Women's Swimming returned to action during their home opener for a dual meet on Saturday, December 8, 2012 as they took to the pool against the Mountaineer Swim Club of West Virginia University. The crowd of over 150 was the largest to ever see a D&E Swim meet, in the young program's history.
Davis & Elkins College Women's Swimming started strong among a highly competitive field during Saturday's meet. Caitlin LaSota recorded a best time in the 200 Free where she placed second among a field of six, cutting more than five seconds from her time. Kayla Huckaby also saw a best time this weekend in the Women's 200 Back. Melissa Pusanik narrowly missed her best time by less than a second in the 1000 Free.
The Lady Senators will return to the pool on January 11, 2013 as they travel to Buckhannon, WV to take on college rival West Virginia Wesleyan College at 6pm.
