ELKINS, WV – Davis & Elkins men's basketball team did not back down on the court against the University of Pitt-Johnstown Saturday afternoon at the McDonnell Center, but fell short, being defeated 78-71.
The high-paced game yielded relatively low scoring, with nearly 13 turnovers of the ball throughout the game.
Seniors D'Quan Lynch (Virginia Beach, VA/Bayside HS) led with 19 points and Igor Premasunac (Pula, Croatia/Utah State) with 17 points.
Senators shot 43.9 percent (25-57) from the floor with 9-of-14 free throw effort (64.3 percent).
Mountain Cats shot 53.6 percent (30-56) from the floor and connected on 7-of-10 free throws (70.0 percent).
Pitt-Johnstown took the victory, leaving the Senators at seven-point difference in the end of the second half
Davis & Elkins will return to action Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Shepherd University in WVIAC action.
