CHARLESTON, WV -Davis & Elkins recorded a hard fought 1-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan in a WVIAC men's soccer semifinal Saturday.

Bastien Catrin converted a corner kick pass at the 53:35 mark for the lone score of the match. The goal was assisted by James Pucci.

The Senators' defense held the Bobcats off the board despite allowing a few shots that were just a few yards away from the goal.

Moises Oseguera amassed eight saves in the shutout victory. No save was bigger than the penalty kick he turned away with just a couple minutes remaining in the contest.

WVWC held an 18-8 shot advantage, but D&E maintained a 5-3 margin in corner kicks.

Derek Ayers had two saves in the loss.

The Senators square off against Charleston at 1 p.m. for the WVIAC Championship.
