ELKINS, WV - The Davis & Elkins women's basketball team fell to Seton Hill University 67-64 Thursday evening in WVIAC action.
The Griffins led by three at halftime and Seton Hill (1-4, 1-1) made that lead stand to earn their first win of the season.
The Senators (1-2, 0-1) were led by senior Page Turner and sophomore Sharmaine Baker with 15 points each. Junior Jorden Lykes followed with 11 and senior Amy Turner added nine.
Paige Alviani paced the Griffins with 19 points, while Katie Gattuso added 16.
Sharmaine Baker led D&E with nine rebounds, Jorden Lykes added eight and Page Turner finished with six assists.
The Senators held a 46-33 rebounding edge, but Seton Hill shot 43.5 percent (27-62) from the floor while D&E finished at 36.8 percent (21-57).
D&E will host Pitt-Johnstown Saturday at 2 p.m. in The McDonnell Center.
