BUCKHANNON, WV - Senior Timothy Bugge converted a penalty kick in overtime to lead Davis & Elkins past Gannon University in non-conference men's soccer action on Friday night.

The Senators scored first when freshman Humberto Bertran scored at the 81:34 mark, but Gannon tied the match almost four minutes later when Robbie Bennett beat keeper Daniel Nock.

The game remained tied until a D&E player was tackled in the penalty box with four minutes left in overtime and Bugge converted his kick.

D&E finished with 16 shots and Gannon recorded 15, but the Senators placed six of those shots on goal.

Freshman keeper Daniel Nock went the distance to earn his first collegiate win and he finished with two saves.

D&E will return to action on Sunday when they host Southern Indiana at 11 a.m. on Sunday at Buckhannon-Upshur High school.
