ELKINS, WV - Sophomore guard Rachel Gostomski scored a career-high 22 points to lead Davis & Elkins to a 74-60 win over Ohio Valley in WVIAC women's basketball action at The McDonnell Center on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore forward Jorden Lykes added 16 points and 10 rebounds, while junior guard Page Turner finished with 10 points and seven assists.
Gostomski hit on 7-of-8 shots from the floor with a 2-of-2 performance from behind the arc. She was a perfect 6-of-6 from the foul line. She also added six assists and five rebounds.
Lykes finished 4-of-6 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the free throw line.
The Senators led 45-36 at halftime and never looked back as they won their fourth conference game of the year.
D&E held a 45-35 rebounding advantage and had 21 assists on 23 baskets.
Shante Cummings led OVU with 21 points and Shelby Way added 12.
D&E improves to 5-3 overall and 4-1 in WVIAC action while OVU falls to 5-3, 3-3.
The Senators return to action on Wednesday when they travel to No. 11 Edinboro (4-0) for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
