ELKINS, WV - Junior guard D'Quan Lynch scored a career-high 27 points to lead Davis & Elkins to a 90-87 win over Livingstone College in men's basketball action at The McDonnell Center on Sunday afternoon. Senior guard Ian Pinckney added 24 points as D&E won their second game in a row.
Lynch hit on 12-of-15 shots from the floor with a 3-of-3 effort from behind the arc.
Pinckney hit several free throws down the stretch to hold off Livingstone as he finished the game 17-of-18 from the charity stripe. Senior guard PJ Turner led the Senators with a game-high 14 assists.
Senior forward Malik Tinsley added 10 points and four rebounds.
Greg Henry and Nasir Austin scored 15 points each to pace Livingstone.
D&E shot 56.3 percent (27-48) from the floor while the Livingstone hit for a 55.9 percent (33-59) rate.
D&E improves to 3-4, while Livingstone drops to 3-2. The Senators return to action on Saturday when they host Wheeling Jesuit at 4 p.m.
