BUCKHANNON, WV -Senior All-American Cole Dant scored three goals and added two assists to lead Davis & Elkins to a 5-2 win over Concord in the WVIAC Tournament on Monday night.
Dant out the Senators on the board first at the 1:51 mark and then assisted Cate Smith at the 8:40 mark to give D&E an early 2-0 lead.
Concord got on the board at the 22:32 mark off an own goal that was knocked in over Ashley Winkelspecht's head.
Both teams struggled to find the net in the second half until Dant used a cross from Emma Davis to give D&E a 3-1 lead at the 68:43 mark.
Alison Bogar scored at the 78:39 mark off an assist from Dant and Concord responded three minutes later when Nicole Dirnagl scored to make the score 4-2.
At the 82:38 mark Dant scored the final goal of the game off an assist from Allison Dant.
Winkelspecht finished with one save for the Senators.
D&E improves to 8-7-1 on the year and will face West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday at 7 p.m.
