ELKINS, WV- The Senators from D&E started the day facing conference rival West Virginia Wesleyan in the opening match of a three team round robin.

The Bobcats (20-8, 10-2) jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they swept the Senators (10-23, 4-8) in three sets (12-25, 18-25, 18-25).

Davis & Elkins was led by senior Jana Lowe with 9 kills, 6 assists, and 10 digs.  Senior Bre Tognoli added 9 assists and 9 digs in the losing effort.

The second match of the day for the Senators pitted them against Kentucky State.  This time it was D&E (11-23, 4-8) that jumped out early and took the four set victory (25-17, 25-19, 25-27, 25-20) over the Thorobreds (17-15).

Lowe once again led the Senators with 23 kills on pace to a .710 hitting percentage.  Bre Tognoli led the team with 19 assists and junior Meaghan Emery helped with 14 digs.

The day was a special one for the senior class as they were honored before the start of the second match.  Although they have one more home match Tuesday night, this was their final weekend game on the court of the McDonnell Center.  Congratulations for outstanding careers to:
