PRINCETON, W. Va. – Alderson-Broaddus rookie Victoria Morgan and Davis & Elkins senior Jana Lowe have been named the WVIAC Players of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Morgan, a 6-2 middle blocker from Windsor, Ontario, amassed a .414 hitting percentage on the week. She helped guide the Battlers to a 3-0 record. Morgan posted 26 kills and two aces. Defensively, she stuffed 13 attempts, six of which were solo blocks.
Lowe, a 6-0 right side hitter from Port Republic, Md., recorded a double-double in each of the team's six matches last week. In a conference victory, she posted a triple-double with 17 kills, 29 assists and 13 digs. She narrowly missed a triple-double in two other matches on the week. Overall, Lowe had 68 kills, 106 assists and 61 digs for the Senators.
