ELKINS, WV - The Davis & Elkins men's soccer team defeated Urbana 7-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday at River Bend Park.
Freshmen David Nuernberg and Humberto Bertran scored three goals each to lead the Senators to their fourth match in a row.
Nuernberg scored the first goal of the game at the 7:30 mark off an assist from Alberto DiGirolamo.
Bertan scored at the 10:10 mark off an assist from Dan Savory to give D&E a 2-0 lead.
At the 12:47 mark Dan Savory scored off a corner kick by Wyatt Hill.
DiGirolamo assisted Nuernberg again at the 30:41 mark to push the score to 4-0 at halftime.
Bertran scored his second goal of the game 2:09 into the second half and Nuernberg scored his final goal of the game at 53:44 mark off an assist from Wyatt Hill.
Bertran concluded the scoring at the 55:48 mark off an assist from DiGirolamo.
Junior goalkeeper Moises Oseguera had two saves for the Senators.
D&E improves to 9-4-1 and Urbana falls to 6-7-1.
The Senators will host Seton Hill Saturday night at Buckhannon-Upshur High School at 8 p.m.
