SOFTBALL SPLITS AT ALDERSON-BROADDUS
PHILIPPI, WV - The Davis & Elkins softball team earned a split Saturday afternoon at Alderson-Broaddus. D&E won the first game 7-5 and lost the nightcap 3-0.
Junior Carissa Dunn hit two home runs and finished 3-4 with 5 RBIs and two runs scored to lead the D&E offense.
Junior Mallory Wishard blasted a home run and went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and one run scored.
Pitchers Alanna Jones and Autumn Appleby combined to allow six A-B hits and five earned runs. Jones finished with five strikeouts.
The Senators struggled to hit in the second game and fell 3-0.
Senior Devony Pugh and Kaitlyn Daugherty each had one hit for the Senators.
D&E finishes the year at 22-31 overall and 8-18 in the WVIAC. A-B improves to 23-21 and 13-13.
The Senators will lose Bridget Ours, Devony Pugh, Daniella Vineyard, and Lizzy Williamson to graduation.
