HERSHEY, PA - The Davis & Elkins golf team registered a +38 round for a total shot count of 322 after the first round of the NCAA Tournament East/Atlantic Regional on Monday. The Senators are currently tied with Goldey Beacom College for tenth place.
Phil Rutherford led D&E with a first day total of 76 (+5), while Christopher Young followed at 80 (+9).
Alasdair Forsythe (81), Ciar Porciani (85), and Pat Fereday (86) round out the scoring for the Senators.
The Senators are just nine shots out of the coveted fifth position with two days of competition remaining.
Teams will hit the course for Day Two of the East/Atlantic Regional on Tuesday morning with the Senators taking to the course beginning at 7:30 a.m.
